About Us

We enable you to do much more with less

In today’s increasingly digital world, it’s not easy running a business IT department without managed IT services. In many cases, a sole IT manager probably is the department — a one-man band scrambling to take help desk calls, log service requests, monitor networks and firewalls, install patches and updates, back up servers, fix printers, and manage office email. On top of all that, he/she is supposed to keep up with the latest technology trends and advise the business on how to improve productivity, save money, and meet its strategic goals — if time allows.

But, it rarely does. With resources stretched thin, it’s easy for an IT department to fall behind. However, Managed IT Services, which is the right technology combined with the right services — can be the recipe for success in building an agile business in today’s world.

We embrace complexity and deliver simplicity

  • We deliver IT services to enhance organizational stability, effectiveness, impact and profitability. We deploy, manage and maintain internet connectivity, IT networks, applications, infrastructure, data and cybersecurity resilience. We do this by enabling our clients to outsource their IT departments and requirements to us so that we can provide them with much more cost-effective managed IT services. These include the implementation of turn-key IT projects, formulating IT strategy, developing and maintaining IT policies and processes, strengthening IT governance regimes and systems and providing ongoing and regular IT support. Our services are provided on customer premises, in our data center (hosting) and/or using a third-party data centers. Depending on your needs, Veritech generally delivers its own native services in conjunction with other providers’ services.

The services we provide are typically ongoing and remote. You get the benefit of state of the art technology and world-class expertise, without human bodies crowding your environment. Our clients get the capability of an IT Department with the expertise of seasoned professionals to deliver focused application operations to your company’s business application users.

  • Once you have selected Veritech as your preferred MSP and the contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) are in place, we start by fully analyzing the processes outsourced to us. This enables us to identify how to maximize resource utilization and reduce costs while improving process efficiencies. Our experts also identify challenges within your processes, which you might not have been able to do yourself.

Based on the analysis and liabilities and risk identification, Veritech builds a fully customized solution and provides ongoing maintenance and support for the outsourced processes.

  • Traditionally, when IT infrastructure became crucial for business success, organizations started outsourcing their IT processes including infrastructure installation and management, networking, security and data warehouses. This gave them access to the MSP’s expertise and capabilities without incurring high costs.

We apply the same principle to any business processes in which organizations do not have in-house expertise and setting up the capabilities would require diverting resources from more important activities. For instance, with hybrid work models and multiple categories of employees―full-time, part-time, freelance, contractual and more―in every organization, human resources has become a complex process. So, many businesses choose to outsource their different human resources (HR) activities to professional employer organizations (PEOs).

Business processes that are usually outsourced to us includes:

    • IT services and infrastructure

    • Workforce management

    • Recruitment

    • Vendor management

    • Contract management and compliance

    • Human resources

  • The current business landscape is highly competitive and it makes sense for businesses to focus on their core competency. However other departments like staffing, HR, payroll, IT infrastructure and applications, are crucial for the smooth running of the overall business.

As an MSP, Veritech has strong and reliable expertise in the processes that it manages. So, when you hire Veritech for non-core processes, you and your team can focus on activities that drive growth while ensuring that other processes are also being run by experts and not getting neglected. Here are some benefits of hiring Veritech for your managed IT requirements/needs:

    • Processes are run by highly specialized and experienced experts

    • Save on hiring and managing in-house experts to run the same processes

    • Get access to the latest technologies and applications

    • Scale up or down according to changing business needs quickly

    • Most MSPs are subscription-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) services; you can easily predict the amount you will be spending every month

    • Technological Innovations: Integrating AI, IoT, and cloud computing is revolutionizing our services, offering enhanced efficiency and new capabilities.

    • Adapting to Market Demands: Veritech must evolve to meet changing client expectations, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud solutions.

    • Cybersecurity Focus: The increasing importance of cybersecurity in our offerings cannot be overstated, with Veritech playing a crucial role in protecting against emerging threats.

    • Market Expansion and Consolidation: The MSP market is experiencing significant growth and consolidation, with mergers and acquisitions shaping the industry's future.

    • Future Predictions and Innovations: The rise of remote work, AI's expanding role, economic challenges, market consolidation, and persistent cyber threats like ransomware are vital areas where Veritech, as an MSP must focus.

These trends are not just fleeting observations; they represent the roadmap for us to stay relevant, competitive, and effective.

We are poised to  confidently navigate the evolving landscape of managed services, ensuring resilience and growth in an ever-changing digital world.

Landmarks in our History

IT Solutions and Telecommunications

Veritech started out with a focus on turn-key IT solutions and telecommunication services. Our IT solutions were primarily targeting the development, deployment and management of large-scale databases such as population registers, passport systems, voters' registers, births and deaths registers,  etc.

The technologies that Veritech specialized in were data collection and reporting systems, automated fingerprint, iris and facial recognition systems, ID card production, datacenter deployments,  database development  and project management. Geographically, the focus was the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. Veritech technicians and experts also consulted for the UNDP on electoral projects especially.

To provide telephony and internet services in South Africa, Veritech acquired 2 licences from ICASA in 2014:

  • The Individual Electronic Communications Service (IECS) license, which enables Veritech to provide electronic communications services to customers over its own or via another company's network. It is also used for providing services such as Internet access, email and virtual private networks.

  • An Individual Electronic Communications Network Service (IECNS) licence allows Veritech to deploy and operate a physical network across a province or the entire country.

Technology is no longer optional but indespensible

“Modern technology has become a total phenomenon for civilization, the defining force of a new social order in which efficiency is no longer an option but a necessity imposed on all human activity.” – Jacques Ellul

Today's intersection of technology and business processes is increasing the need for managed IT services. In fact, it's now looked at by company leaders as not just an instrumental asset, but a strategic business asset.

Because of this, businesses are increasingly lowering their risk and improving efficiency by using managed IT services to handle some of the load.

Many providers offer services a la carte. Most companies get help with one or several applications, such as email hosting, CRM applications, storage, network monitoring, or backup and recovery. These providers augment in-house IT in a collaborative effort.

Chances are, your business IT department (or person) will appreciate some support. Managed IT service takes a load off their plate by having enterprise-grade service monitoring desktops, servers and networks, not just during business hours, but 24/7.

In a digital landscape where the only thing constant is change,

the Managed Services Industry stands as a beacon of stability and growth.

Global Market Size

$329.9 billion by 2025

$80 billion by 2026 for managed cloud services alone

Compound Annual Growth Rate

7.9%

The numbers paint a picture of a market in perpetual motion - from managed network services to remote monitoring and management, and even the niche realms of ERP solutions and cloud migration services.

It's a whirlwind romance between technology and business efficiency. The Managed Services Industry is not just a trend; it's a force to be reckoned within the ever-evolving landscape of modern business.
